Daily Market Watch - Week of 3/9/09

Sirius is looking at a run-up into earnings. Where will it go tomorrow? Where will it go this week?

Dry Shipping looks like a hotspot right now.

    Renewable Energy is looking promising.

    Banks look like doggie doo.

What else is going on in your neck of the woods?

For anyone interested, many of the guys here spend the day running google chat and actively day trading stocks. PM some of them to see if you can get in. I have not joined them yet, as my schedule has not allowed it, but I am looking at getting involved next week to see what it is like.

Guys, I would appreciate it if you would post some of your ideas/thoughts over here on a nightly basis after you get off of the Gmail chat.

Party on party people! Let me hear some noise! (name that tune?)

    What a worthless day

The market is certainly not a peach today. Ray, Tony and myself were in there trying to make anything of value happen and it was just the pits. That is from my perspective. I actually had to go do some quotes today so I missed part of the intense decline. I don't think I really missed anything. From what I did see, when I was in attendance, there wasn't anything to get a toe hold on without skinning your knee.

EGLE screamed upward (what a bitchin stock) **The stock of excellence**
DRYS went up **The Supreme Commander**
SBLK stayed about the same **The First Lieutenant**
ONCF stayed pretty much the same **The Gunnery Sergeant**

F gained a few cents on word of the UAW making some concessions

EFTC floundered like a lost sole fish
ESLR didn't waste any energy going either direction
AIB made a small gain today and then I think lost it...not sure
ABK is just sitting at the bottom waiting for a hand out later this month, just selling pencils on the street corner out of a tin cup.
SIRI ah you know that story
CY took off out of the gate and then fell on its knees and chipped a tooth.

Yes, the market is a wonderful place to be today...

Wait until we hit the magic 5XXX on the DOW....the we can let the air out of the tires and ride it the rest of the way down.

There is hope....the Dry Baltic Index is increasing...that means that shipping is increasing, which in turn means what? It means the Earth's economy is not at a halt. That translates into a moving economy somewhere.........probably China.

Speaking of China...they have some pretty hot stocks right now. I am going to look into a few just for kicks and see what is offered. Maybe we could pick up a manufacturer of flash frozen monkey balls or something.

Thank you for your time and patience and expect more of the same or worse from the market tomorrow.

If you have any choice stocks, please share them so we can ravage our eyes over them and then poke and prod them.

Also, please post in this thread.......we don't bite.

    Bill

    Anyone here own CBAI?

They had a nice run today. I was thinking about getting into a Stem Cell stock. Any advice?

    Thanks in advance!

    Thanks for the info guys!

There certainly are many intersting "deals" out there.

With Obama in office, I'm thinking stem cells could possibly be the next game changer.

    Ray, thanks for the link....

    LOL!
I bought CTIC a couple of weeks back. It was right before that little run and luckily got out before it took it's nose dive. I am looking to invest in stem cells and leave it be for 5 or so years....
