Competition for SiriusXM.
1. Terrestrial Radio.
If youve listend then you know its not.
2. HD radio. They will never suceed in making SiriusXM made their radios compatiable. Even if they did, it would be help up in court for years, etc...
SiriusXM would have "delay" after "delay" getting it right...etc...
3. Ipod, and Iphone.
Not anymore, as you can get their content on both soon.
4. Internet radio. LOL I wont even comment on this one, thats how absurd it is. Like saying giraffes are competition for SiriusXM.
5. And I believe that is it. So you see, they have no competition. If you want quality radio, no commercials, ability to hear it anywhere, download new music, get weather anywhere, at all times, etc... Theres only one place you can go.
Satellite delivery system is "never, or rarely down" Its reach is unmatched by any technology here, or coming in the future. It can be expanded to include other markets as well.
I believe that this is a domain name that was owned by an individual.... not Sirius or Xm.. I seem to recall Charles talking about it after the merger.... I don't know if they bought it or got him to give it up or what, but seems to just be another pointer to the sites as jim232 has said....
siriusxm.com has been active for quite a while but what I find interesting is that one of the djs was promoting siriusxmradio.com and that does not exist for them...

The big picture we all need to keep seeing is this:
SIRIUS XM has a business plan that challenges many many years of institutional media in this country and across the world. The idea of not plastering every 5 minutes with 15 minutes of advertising scares the hell out of them. The amount of opposition - when you see the facts - is HUGE and I am impressed SIRIUS XM has seemed to take things up a notch now. We may be at the turning point or not - I'm just saying - if you looked at / read about the transition from old radio at the turn of the last century to television - you'd have also found a formidable challenge for those new television/moving picture entities.
We may be on the verge of something really big. If I only have to put a few grand into that kind of investment - it's well worth it - in my opinion.

Come to think of it - wouldn't it be a real kick@ss thing if direcTV were to go commercial free for TV. Then the radio side would be SIRI-XM and DIRECTV would handle the TV. I dream of the day I can watch an entire episode of ANYTHING on T.V. with NO FRIGGIN COMMERCIALS.
It would be a near utopia.......
ok... waking up from my dream now....

Don't remember exactly where we were during that timeframe - I blame alzheimers... it appears - based on that registration - it was taken over at that point. I've played with domain names at times - and it's relatively easy for a big buyer to drop a bid on a name and transfer.... the only thing difficult is if the owner resists the bid.
Like I was saying earlier - it would be good if they'd start merging the sirius and xm internet presence into a single site - it would be easy to just have all the other domains "point" to one site and it would save them money.
Remember this article: http://siriusbuzz.com/giveaway-siriu...te-invites.php
