Sirius conductor 8 Pin din Cable????

I purchased a a Yamaha RX V663 Receiver that is Sirius Ready. I then purchased a Sirius Condutor. but the Conductor didn't come with a * pin Din cable to connect the Conductor to the Receiver. I searched hi and low for this cable but no luck. Is there any one that knows where to get this cable or a universal cable are 8 pin din cables universal. Please help. Jay

I would believe that this connector is the DIN cable that comes from a "Universal" connect dock.

If you have a stiletto, then that would be the SCVDOC1 This allows units to plug into radios and control them via the Sirius Connect protocol.

That cable comes with the dock.

If you use the sirius conductor, you would not be controlling your radio through your yamaha receiver, the Conductor would be controlled directly and output would come from the conductor through some aux input of the receiver.

With the SCVDOC1, your receiver would show the sirius channels and the songs etc.

Typically with the SCVDOC1 you loose functionality of the actual sirius radio, such as recording, fancy displays etc, but you gain the ability to control from a central source.

I went to the Yamaha web site and looked at the manual and it does refer to SiriusConnect capable.

The good news is that if you already have a Sirius radio in your car, use of a product such as SCVDOC1 will not require you to purchase an additional sirius monthly subscription. Where if you have the Sirius Conductor, you will need to purchase a sub for that radio.

Can you return the Conductor? and purchase a SCVDOC1?

    Anyway, hope this helps.

Yes I see your point see I have the conductor which is cool in my point I can control Sirius anywhere within a 150 ft of the Brain and I can easily see the stations on the Remote. I am interested in the cable because the Yamaha receiver has a actual sirius input so if I put the input to sirius and connected the 8 pin cable thats all i would need from the Condutor to the Receiver which I thought was cool. nI ordered a 8 pin din cable from cables 2 go its not a sirius cable but I was told an 8 pin din is a 8 pin din what you think????? Thanks for your respons Jay PS your the only one that even commented on this thanks by the way.

The Din connector on the conductor is used to control a Second Sirius Radio unit via the same Sirius Connect Protocol. You conductor remote can control two sirius radios the conductor and the second plugged in via the din connector. I don't believe what you are trying to do will work. Sorry

Here are the pin outs for the DIN connector

I've done some work with the DIN connector to allow a computer to control the radio. Here are some links to my findings of the DIN connector.

Good Luck let me know how it works out!

    Thanks,
