SiriusXMInvestor, If you recall, on the thread "20 million subs" I stated that it is the ARPU that matters. Once again, here is the reason why, your figure does not hold water with a ARPU in the 10.13 range. It would have to be well below that for them to only have 7 to 8 million full paying subscribers.

P.S. The 22.3 % figure was all family plan that means that if someone has 3 subscriptions then the 2 are in the 22.3 %. Here is an example, In the case I just gave you, that person has 66.6% family plans and 33.3% original full (or somewhere close to it) subscription. That means that there would have to be about 7 other people that have only the full subscription and no family plans.

    It isclear

The companies state quite clearly the percentage of the subscriber base that is in the family plan. That percentage now blended is beween 20% and 25%. This is ALL subs in the family plan (wheher e second, third, fourth, or fifth). I have run the numbers seven way to Sunday in the pat, and the 20% to 25% is what it is. If it were higher you would see it reflected in the ARPU.

What the hell is this company doing to keep and gain subscribers? It appears those who enjoy the service buy multiple subs. Those single subscribers are those who get the service upon a new car purchase and cancel after the free trial period expires. We should be calling IR and asking them how many individual accounts the company currently has as of this date. Mr. Blalock should have this info at the tip of his fingers.
Since the last poll review, nothing has changed regarding the total number of subscribers who have more than one sub. The results still indicate two-thirds or 66% have more than one sub. 406 indicate that they have more than one sub, this number is the result of the 581 who have voted that have at least one sub. Further, without naming names, SiriusXM has over 4 million subscribers that have multiple subs. If we used a conservative two per subscriber that equals 8 million units in the family plan. Subtract that from the current 20 million subs leaves about 12 million single subscribers. Again this is a conservative number.

"20% to 25% is what it is. If it were higher you would see it reflected in the ARPU."

What part of this do you not understand?

After one-thousand (1000) votes, the results still indicate that 2/3's have more than one sub. At what point will you concede that there maybe no more than 12-14 million individual subscribers?

Why is it it "paltry", "ugly" and "disappointing"? Please give your basis for these claims. I would agree that single subs generate more cash flow but any subscribers are welcome. If you think that having that information would be helpful, please call IR and ask them. While you're at it, let us know how many shares you own as your profile seems to indicate 0 shares. If that is the case, it would explain why you don't call IR yourself. And, if so, why do you even care? Maybe change your ID to ExSiriusXMinvestor?

Frankly, in this market, I'd be happy with any subscriber adds this quarter.

In 3 posts above you have stated 7-8 million individual subs...then 10-12million individual subs...now 12-14 million individual subs. What a moron?

The company clearly states as stated above on numerous posts that the company has 20-25% family plans. For the math challenged...that means they have between 4 and 5 million family plans and between 15-16 million individual subs. Even you should know that with your 3rd grade PHD in DUMBASS!
