iPhone Sirius/XM app to be released this month...

    http://www.appleinsider.com/articles...uncements.html

    uSirius StarPlayr

Already in beta, uSirius StarPlayr lets you listen to satellite radio on your iPhone, and unlike some of its competitors, you don't need another computer running to accomplish that goal. Fire up the app to enjoy streaming Sirius-XM satellite radio, provided you have a paid subscription, of course.

Album art for whatever's playing is displayed prominently in the middle of the screen, with a button beside to call up the lyrics and another that sends you off to Amazon or iTunes if you want to purchase the song. The app is expected to land in the App Store sometime this month.

I am a member of the beta testing. I just got the app set up yesterday, but I am already very impressed. I have not yet attempted to buy any of the music through iTunes using the app, but I will probably try that today.

    It is a great app.

    Newman,

Do you have the first generation or a 3g iPhone? Are you using it over 3g or Edge?

Please give us a detailed and full review soon...

Congrats on actually getting it Newman. I was part of the lowly 12 that was dropped from beta 1. I was told that there would be a second rollout, but thus far, I am still waiting. Looks like I will be seeing it in the app store first.

You should do a video or pic review for the site. I wouldn't want you to go out of your way but if your good with recording stuff and getting it onto your PC without wasting a whole day, that would be awesome.

Pretty cool feature is the iPhone can take its own screenshots.
Hold in the home key and press the on/off button on the top.
This will take the pic. From there, sync with the computer and there is your pic.

The folks at GeeksToolBox have asked me to remain silent for now. When they give me the ok, I will be posting something. I am not good at the video stuff, but I will give you guys something to look at. =)

    Newman,

Don't tell us anything that you are not supposed to then.

That makes one of us. I got my beta this morning. Been listening most of the day. I have a few things to submit to them later. I may do a small writeup on my blog.

It was GREAT listening to Sirius all day while I worked. With the building, I do not get sat reception and the internet feed is blocked on the computer. I even checked out the Bubba show today.

    How is the sound quality?

    Any skip outs?

How does the battery life last or do you keep it plugged in? (if plugged please test how long not plugged in, please)

Does the phone still ring and do you get messages while it is in operation?

    Thanks in advance.
