What are your expectations for thursday?

I will be at the stock holders meeting on Thursday if I can get in. Not because of any high or low expectations but just out of morbid curiosity.
Maybe I am too cynical but I just do not have any positive expectations for the meeting on Thursday. We have been shot down too many times to expect something positive. We have all heard the Cramers, Wienkes and whoever either dis Sirius or pump it. We have heard Mel stick his foot in his mouth several different times. I think that the picture of Mel that Tyler used in his December 3, 2008 "Karmazin Speaks" says more than all the words in these forums. IMHO Mel looks like a deer caught in the headlights that does not know what to do.

I think that I need a dose of frigginregan.

Even though I would like to hear other expectations for Thursday.

A yes vote is a nail in the coffin and we all know the vote will pass. This company is a complete joke. For Mel to merge with XM when so much debt was on the books was totally wreckless. He put his ego before the shareholders. What a disgrace.

    My expectations

    1. I expect the proposed Board to be voted in

    2. I expect that the additioal share authorization to 8,000,000,000 will be passed.

    3. I expect that an authorization for a reverse split will be passed.

    4. I expaect the accounting firm to be authorized.

    5. I expect that the meeting will be vocal at times, and that if people do not follow Roberts Rules of Order that they will not be heard.

    Tyler:

It looks like your expectations are as low as mine.

My expectations are the same as Tylers. I do not think they are "low", I think they are realistic. As Tyler has been saying, if you are not prepared for these items to pass, then you better start coming up with a plan of what you will do when they are.

I am 99% sure we will not hear anything about financing (other than "we are in talks"). I do not expect them to give any further guidance.

What I AM hoping for, is for Mel (and hopefully the rest of the BOD) to announce that they will be giving up their salary for 2008 and 2009. It is not that I do not think that they deserve it, because I believe they have been doing a great job. I just think that it is the prudent thing to do given the stock price and the current debt situation that the company is in.

I doubt it will happen, but I really hope that it does.
