1.) Get everyone to sign the petition, everyone with a pulse. There were 56 when I signed. This is pathetice. We need a few thousand for it to mean anything. So we gotta tell everyone who is a fan of this music to sign. Do whatever it takes!!!!

2.) Someone needs to look into the class action lawsuit. This is false advertising and I am sure that there are other legal reasons that they cannot simply pull the plug on paid programming. To the guy that said that this happens on Terrestrial...NEWS FLASH this is a subscribed service. WE PAY FOR THIS!

3.) We need to unite and cancel our service even is you like some other programming. and...WE NEED TO CANCEL AT THE SAME TIME AND GIVE THEM YOUR FURIOUS REASON FOR CANCELLING!
4.) We need to inundate them with complaints and demands for return of our paid programming. Not nicely written appologetic emails but FURIOUS DEAMNDING LETTERS AND EMAIL!!!!!!!!!!!

5.) We need to create a website that shames Sirius and demands that they return our programming all of it and dump this other drivel that they are forcing down our throats at our EXPENSE!!!!!!!!!!!

Only way we win is if we are organised! And hit them the only place it hurts! The bank accounts!

Whose with me. Who can take on some of these responsibilities?

She also suggested that you utilize http://www.sirius.com/customercare/ and explain the situation. Fill out the relevant information and make sure to put 'Music Programming' as your category. Explain specific what channel[s] you're unhappy about being canceled (i also said unhappy they didn't even TELL us this was happening).

She said specifically people are very upset about boombox and the punk channel and that they may reverse it if enough noise is made. This isn't a joke people; let your voice be heard. I also recommend getting the free months and have them note on your account that you want to cancel. This service is currently unusable for me in its current state.

I'm hoping this isn't some scam that they think I'll find another station to be happy about cos that wont happen.
Good work but here is where I see a problem. I too called to cancel last week. They offered me the 2 free months but here is where the that becomes a problem.

Sirius take stats on how many cancellations or "Churn" that takes place after the channel merger. If we all take the free months then those stats get muddied and some will stay on. If we all cancel then they will show a net loss and it will be associated with the merger directly!

You dont like it then piss off! Some of us don't like being told to listen to Hip Hopp Nation and BPM instead of what we paid for. If you enjoy Pop2k then great go play with yourself then!

Sorry dude! I've had some lames attacking our cause in other threads and I got a little touchy!

PS; One thread mentioned that Sirius told him that they will go back to original programming after december...THIS IS NOT TRUE! I called again today and asked for any info that might suggest that this is the case....NOPE there is no plan to go back to the old programming or bring any channels back...

IN FACT I asked if they had been instructed to log any of the complaints and he said that they were not. He mentioned that there were no records of my earlier complaint from last week. He said I could log onto the main Sirius website and there was a feedback link there...when I got home and checked there wasn't anything set up for feedback.

They are just holding on folks! The longer they stall the more likely that some people will just keep their subscription and find something else to listen to.

Imagine if you subcribed to Sports Illustrated and one day they decided to change their format to home renovations with out telling you. THen when you complain the tell you that once a month they will have a sports article on the back page. THis is unacceptable

I think that is not unlike what they have done here.

    Better than Sirirus xm

I just joined this forum because I am PISSED off about Sirius getting rid of Boombox. Although I will miss the station I will have to thank Sirius XM because I found something way better and in the long run way cheaper and is all thanks to them. its called Slacker Radio. Go here http://www.slacker.com/ and click on Electronic/dance and then on Electronic and you will be very pleased. The Station is like boombox as far as music but even better, when they play a song you dont like you can simply skip it. Its free if you listen to it using your PC. But if you want to listen to it on your car or on the go you can buy their Slacker G2 at bestbuy for $199.00 Here is how it works: it loads all the songs on your favorite Station/Stations or your own personalized Station (up to 2500 songs) using WIFI or a usb cable and you can then take it with you and there is NO additional Subscription charges and it will update itself with the latest music. So is kind of like downloading a whole days Schedule of a radio stations music and then taking it with you and then not having to endure listening to a crappy song until they play a good one. If you don't like a song just press a key to BAN it or if you want to hear it more often press a key to say you love it. You can even make your own radio stations. The Sound quality is CD like. You should all show Sirius XM how displeased you are with no more Boombox and join me on canceling your acct and moving to the far superior Slacker Radio. You wont be disappointed. Oh and tell everyone you know and post it all over the internet.
    F%#K Sirius

    Original Message Follows:
    ------------------------

    Dear Customer Service,

I have had nothing but fantastic results any time I had issues with my
Sirius service. However, I'm extremely disappointed in your latest
channel change. Two of my favorite channels have been unfortunately
    reformatted, channels 39 and 116.

In today's economy I have learned to do without additional luxuries but
I have kept my two Sirius receivers. During the morning and afternoon
drives I typically listen to Kids Stuff 116. It's a running request with
my 4 year old even during the weekend with "Hey Dad, I wanna listen to
Sirius 116 Kids Stuff!" (he's grown up on your station ID). But
yesterday when I picked him up from school I was very disappointed when
Kids Stuff was replaced with Kids Place Live. Laurie Berkner, Dan Zanes,
and Imagination Movers were gone! Instead I actually had to check the
station ID to see if I was on the right channel because it sounded
EXACTLY like Radio Disney 115!! Needless to say, we weren't happy.

Then this morning, around 7:20 Central Time, we heard Crazy Frog (which
my son LOVES) and then DJ for the rest of my drive. What happened to the
music? I am not pleased with this change. Kids Stuff is music not talk.
I understand Kids Place Live is for an older age child and pre-school
music is aired during the late morning/early afternoon time but that
doesn't help us working parents whose children grew up listening to
pre-school music during the drive time.

Why does it have to be either/or? I thought the merger was supposed to
be a GOOD thing by increasing the available music, not stripping away
our current channels? If I could make a suggestion, keep Kids Place Live
but bring back Kids Stuff on a different channel. There seems to be a
few open channels in the Family Tier and surely there's room for both.

Boombox channel 39 - Why do we need another pop station? Where are the
electro-beats and remixes going to be played now? Alt Nation channel 21
is NOT going to be able to fit Boombox's music. Again, don't do away out
    right, please give us options.

I'm willing to give the new Kids Place Live format a chance. After
calling and speaking to a wonderfully friendly CSR at your call center I
understand Sirius has be deluged with calls about the new line-up. The
CSR suggested I write an email expressing my concern in this matter.

I have been a loyal Sirius subscriber for nearly 3 years. I heartily
recommend your radios to all of my friends, who in turn have become
subscribers themselves. However, I am seriously not pleased with Kids
Place Live and considering canceling my subscriptions to your services
and heading to cd's and ipods. Local terrestrial radio has no
programming for pre-school children, and now, neither does Sirius. I've
had favorite channels deleted before (Discovery Channel 119) and
favorite afternoon programs nearly canceled (Bubba The Love Sponge,
Howard 101). I would like for another channel to have Kids Stuff loaded
back in the line-up. I will give Kids Place Live another chance but it
needs to be less talk and more music, it is nearly as bad as
    commercials.

Please, please, please, bring another channel online with Kids Stuff and
    Boombox.

Thank you for your consideration in this matter,

    J***

The assholes! And now Bubba might not get renewed. It's time to put our money where it counts, back in our pockets and OUT of theirs!

Hell yea, surely someone knows an attorney that could start a class action against them about that "FCC violation" of eliminating diversity.

This holiday season, I say EVERYONE pissed about Sirius needs to head to their local Best Buy or Walmart and stand in front of the Sirius XM station and persuade customers they'd be better off with a Slacker system or iPod! Whatcha say?

I'm doing the 7day free trial on slacker.com and just got DJ Icey "Grand Canyon.." on my playlist ... very cool. Only thing missing now is Bassbin Twins "Woppa"..

    This thing is pretty cool....
