If the company is in discussions with a lendor who is also an equity investor, and they request Sirius' 5-year projections on estimates -- then be law (REG FD) they must release this information to all investors at the same time.

So there is your answer... one of the investors Sirius is in discussion with is already an investor, so they had to make this filing public. And now that it is complete, they can presumably complete the negotiation to refinance the debt -- assuming the lendor is still interested.

I still believe that this $250 million outstanding will be refinanced.

REG FD is the key here... no one picked up on it.

Newbie here again! Could this help substantiate a "Morgan Stanley" type theory?? Sure would be nice if there was a way to find out if MS is acquiring shares at this low sp! Perhaps it is MS that is manipulating - just wondering!

Thanks for everyones help on this board!!!

    RICK

It boggles my mind how we can trade 215,592 pre-market and 45,825,900 shares today and 813,222 shares after hours and finish unchanged. That’s amazing manipulation!!! And that might be MS creating that flatline to buy up more and more like homer's theory suggests.

Anyone want to comment on some new holdings at MFFAIS
    http://www.mffais.com/siri.html

One in particular jumps out at me:
    Vanguard Group Inc Institution 0.00 % 2008-11-06 81,317,278 $21,142,492 $0 0.00 % Added More 81,164,684 53189.95 % $0

    $21,142,492 / 81,317,278 = $0.25999 / share

The new holdings on the site with zero cost represent approx $23,835,100.

Any thoughts on what these new reported holdings are?

This is just my opinion so take it for what it's worth but mutual funds usually have a very long outlook on the stocks it holds, like 3-5 years. When a mutual fund initially acquires stock in a company it will do so by determining how much a position they want to take in that company and then start buying in pieces so they can average down or average up, whichever it might be.

If the fund is an actively managed fund such as the ones you have listed their goal is to either meet or beat their benchmarked index. With all indexes being down sharply they have flexibility to continue to add to their positions in order to get their cost basis down as low as possible (similar to what we are all trying to do).

All of this doesn't mean that they have an "inside" scoop on the company. The company can still BK or RS negatively impacting their investment as well. They just have oodles more money than the normal retail investor so their holdings just make them look like they know more, but usually they don't.
