Of course, who in his right mind will jump into the world of Wall Street without knowing the difference between being short and being long.
Short selling is the selling of a security that the seller does not own, or any sale that is completed by the delivery of a security borrowed by the seller. Short selling is a legitimate trading...

What I do not understand is how come you all did not sell SIRI before the merger ? Everyone...
I am hedged. I own some stock and option spreads for Jan 2009 & 2010. However, I did buy the stock not so long ago. It has been losing money ever since.
This does not mean anything when you have 63 million shares traded in one f&#$#@ day and most like all of them were sold.
This is when they reported, not when they bought or sold.
