General Motors recently eliminated 8,000 jobs and closed five North American factories. Now Ford will eliminate 7,000 jobs; 2,400 are in North America. Trump likes to brag about reports showing thousands of new jobs have been created but he never says a word about all the thousands of new jobs that are cut. It figures.

Emperor Trump's punitive tariffs and childish trade war continue to hurt American consumers. Walmart, for example, gets 26% of its goods from China and is now forced to raise prices on those products. Target, Best Buy and other retailers are also raising prices. Trump keeps telling us China, not the US, pays for those tariffs. He's wrong. He's a 骗子 and a 白痴.

Jamie has written 23 cookbooks and hosted several television series, beginning with The Naked Chef in 1999. The title referred to the simple ingredients he used, not to Jamie himself. In 2008, he became the second British chef to appear on the Food Network's Iron Chef America. (Robert Irvine was the first.)

In April 1985, Coca-Cola inexplicably changed its 99-year-old formula and introduced "New Coke." It wasn't as sweet and it lost its carbonation very quickly. Few people liked it. In July 1985, "original formula" Coca-Cola returned. In 2019, a strange thing is happening:

Samsung has delayed the launch of its phone that folds in half. They're working on "enhancements." Translation: they're trying to find a way to keep the hinges from breaking and the screens from cracking. I think, along with the new flip-phone, they're also designing a new fax machine and a new Betamax videotape recorder.
