It was mentioned somewhere else that the New York Post also had three full pages.
ABOUT TIME they started a ad campaign...lets hope CC is just as surprising in the right way this time.

Not saying that was a comprehensive list, just saying that those are the ones on the adverisement. Would not be advertising channels they planned to remove the following week. Based on that assumption, I said the above channels were "safe" from being nixed.
Perhaps, when all is said and done, these will be the channels that can be accessible to either service. I believe some exclusive content was going to remain on each at this time as well. Any direct competitors to the channels listed in the ad could be on the chopping block.
Since there are going to be two services for quite awhile, why not have some different fringe channels on each service so at least some people who have a favorite genre/channel can at least get it on one of the services, rather than not at all?
If both services get rid of the punk, modern jazz, and folk genre channels etc., it leaves people who are fans of those genres no where to go - except to their iPod, Slacker, or internet radio...
That is a good point. The content should not disappear. The whole point is to bring every type of music to a channel if you want a captive audience. That is the basis of Sat radio.Quote:

Best Buy, Circuit City, Crutchfield, and Radio Shack Logos share the bottom of the ad along with direct sales via SIRIUS and XM web sites.
Does Wal Mart still carry SIRIUS and XM?
Circuit City now bankrupt, but still hoping to operate til year end. That little blurb in the ad will help them sell some SIRI XM. IIRC, the Circuit City Store in Daytona Beach has already ceased operations and is shuttered.
