I plan on getting the Sony MEX-BT39UW radio and I was going through the installation manual and I noticed that I need to use a bus control cable and bus audio cable. Can I only use the bus audio cable without the bus control, or do I still have to use an aux cable? I have a Stratus 6 receiver.

As far as I know, the Sony bus inputs are for OEM satellite tuners (brains). Audio bus is not the same as AUX BUT some Sony head units have the ability to switch the bus input to aux input in the menu settings of the interface.
Obviously the Stratus 6 only has a 3.5 mm output jack so, you can either plug it into the front facing aux jack OR you can find out if you can change that Bus Audio into AUX and then get a 3.5mm to RCA cable and plug it into the back of the radio.
