SiriusOwner: According to Scottrade website and the broker that I spoke to, any security held in a margin account weather or not it is purchased or held on margin, can be loaned out to anyone as applicable by law. We had this discussion some time back in another thread. I called to confirm, and it was confirmed. I held my Sirius shares in a margin account and by opening that margin account, agreed to the Terms of Use, which included the provision where I gave permission for them to loan my shares.
I have since closed that margin account and now trade strictly with cash. Because my shares are no longer in a margin account, they cannot be loaned by Scottrade.
