Any AMD investors out there? Now that Microsoft purchased Nokia's devices unit, I wonder if their next purchase will be AMD? They are using AMD exclusively for the new XBOX One and now that they have Nokia, they could copy Apple and use them in future products?

I like the prospects of AMD. I picked up a sizable amount at $3.45 last week; showing a 10.4% gain at this moment in the pre market. Looks like this could be a decent ride.

I purchased some AMD in AH last night at 3.69. Thanks to Stratus and Limit Bass and others in chat, we think with the exclusives on the XBOX One an Sony PS4, AMD is going to see a very nice bump in Q4. It appears hedge funds have placed their bets too. Fingers are crossed. Good luck to those AMD investors...
p.s. I am still wondering with Microsoft's new devices reorg. if they will go after a chip maker like AMD to mimic Apple. Any thoughts would be appreciated...

Isn't SIRI showing a gap from last Thursday-Friday at $3.70?
-
Yup....there's also 1 lower at the 3.50 area and the gap from last year back in the 2.90 range.
Seems like TheDog has changed his tune towards gaps since MaloneCo took over.....at least up to this point in time.
-
In my opinion, a one cent gap is not very meaningful...........could be just a rounding error in the charting

a gap-up is a strong move, regardless of size…..this is emphasized in Steve Nison's candlestick charting book

be careful, $3.86 could be a top of the elliott wave pattern that i show as one of the possibilities in my last update from yesterday…..wave 5 would be the same as wave 1 in that example and that would put the temporary top at $3.86…..but that is just one of the possibilities….so is a higher temporary top if wave 5 equals wave 3….

We should just open this forum up to all stocks. Seems like this forum gets the most action regardless. :)
