Actually throughout the merger process Rick did have our backs if you read through the majority of his articles.
That being said, Motley Fool is nothing more than a supermarket tabloid for the financial securities. They slap together the raciest headline possible, and "name drop" hot stocks to up their circulation so that Yahoo, et al post links to their less than inciteful blogs.
Rick is pretty solid on covering satellite radio itself, but some of his peers over there like to drop satellite radio references into completely unrelated articles.
It boils down to "buy my crap". How their opinions make it into headlines more than any other bloggers is beyond me.
