Many gun owners use their weapons only for hunting or target practice. Nothing bad about that, right?
Wrong.

This sixth-grader shot and killed a teacher, wounded another teacher and five students, then took his own life. He apparently was influenced by a violent video game – but that doesn't explain how he was able to acquire two guns and bring them to school. ¡Qué triste y qué horrible!

July 20, 2012: Twelve are killed and 70 injured in a mass shooting at a theater in Aurora, Colorado. And that brings us to January 11, 2020, just another typical day in the United States of America, where guns outnumber people.

Today is just another typical day in the United States of America, where guns outnumber people. Are these gunmen part of the "well-regulated militia" provided for in the Second Amendment? I'm guessing they are not. Come to think of it, where is our well-regulated militia?

Thousands of gun rights supporters gathered today at the Virginia state capital building in Richmond to protest proposed gun-control legislation. Many carried semi-automatic weapons and sported "Guns save lives" stickers. They ignore the reality that guns also take lives. Case in point:

I wonder if any of the victims were wearing a "Guns save lives" sticker. Hey, maybe the shooter was wearing one. They're just stickers. They don't have to be truthful.

I'm guessing nobody in Chicago believes the message on those "Guns save lives" stickers. I'm also guessing very few Chicagoans accept the NRA's oft-repeated mantra that a good guy a gun stops a bad guy with a gun.
