Replacement for XACT XTR8 in car?

I need to replace my old XACT STR8 tuner in my car. In looking at the new units, they all seem to require a dock, which will not work for me because of where I put the tuner in my '05 Ford Explorer (under the rubber pad in the middle console). Are there any similar units available which do not require a dock?
