Stern had an interesting an energetic guest in Cramer who advocates the two major players in the satellite space to be able to merge. Quite frankly it was interesting to see Cramer on the show. I could give two shits if he is screwing retail investors and is a wall street crony. He’s not a moron he’s just made a name for himself and his show in a different demographic. Stern is the furthest thing from a moron. His show is satire and he is the reason that XM and Satellite are still afloat and you can tune into whatever it is on Sirius that you enjoy.

Jim Cramer said that it will happen by June if people with loud voices like Howard Stern keep talking about the travesty. The thought of the government dragging it out until June, with or without the loud mouths, is unbelievable.

The DOJ is avoiding making a decision on the hopes that come March 1st both companies will agree to walk away from the deal. DOJ is in the pockets of the corrupt politicians. The DOJ has not asked for ANY FURTHER information since the merger proposal. They had more than enough time to render a decision. They just want the merger to go away.... it ain't.

First of all why dont you just say you are an invester, it just demeans your arguement tring to come at it from the consumers side. Second bring a law suit for what, they have not broken any regulations or laws they have every right to take this amount of time and more if they see it as necessary. I am a Satellite industry investor and would like the merger to go through also, But lets be reasonable. Otherwise you start to sound like a FrontMed type on the pro merger side. We dont need that it would just take away from the credibility of the pro merger side.

I bought a Sirius Radio the Christmas when Howard was moving to Satellite. I rarely listen to the music stations, but as a long time Howard Stern fan, it is worth every penny of my monthly fee to be able to listen to him on my long commute to and from work. Hopefully when (or if) the merger happens both brands of radio will adapt to the combined signal.

As Well, I am voicing my disapproval of the lengthy time it has taken the DOJ to make a decision concerning the Sirius/XM merger.

As a consumer, I continue to put off my purchase until a decision is made and may not make the purchase at all given that Apple, and other companies (AOL, Yahoo, etc..), currently provide music for Free over the Internet. If I can get Music over the Internet on my phone - why would I pay for it on Sirius?

In my eyes, the length of time it has taken to make this decision has hurt the companies involved and should be looked at as unfair. Companies like Apple have been able to gain ground during this time and it has been unfair to hold back XM/Sirius and allow others to grow further. After all, why buy a Sirius/XM device over the holidays while this decision is being made? I would feel that purchasing something more stable like an iPhone, or HD Radio, etc.. would be a better holiday gift.

It is so hard to see companies like Sirius get hurt by our own system (the DOJ and FCC) - it just does not make sense!

It may be time to bring a suit against the DOJ and FCC - Don't you think?? ...and bring fairness back to business.
