Bullet Point – More New Lawsuits
While details are not yet available, more lawsuits have been filed against SiriusXM. One suit is a patent infringement suit relating to the XMP3, the XMP3i, and the new Lynx radio. The patent in question dates back to 2003 and relates to Personal spectrum monitoring. The second has little information available, but is DeLuca v. SiriusXM. We previously revealed a third suit, the Hall v. SiriusXM last month.
Is this the reason that there is a huge amount of volume today but very little appreciation on the stock price trading around 2.80 right now? It just continues to blow me away that this stock can finally have incredible and long waited news hit and the stock still really does nothing to actually get exited about.
I agree, we should have gained much more today than we did?
Today SIRI XM has reached the plateau of greatness in the eyes of Wall St. We the shareholders know that SIRI has been great all along . Now the world recognizes it. Congratulations Karmazin and Malone. We the shareholders will reap the money rewards in due time.
I am now starting to think I made a huge mistake in jan. It was between this stock and Sprint to decide to invest my money in. I went with this stock. They were trading fairly close at the time with share prices. I watched Sprint just about triple it’s share price in a 8 month period. I just kept sticking with trading siri and it has struggled most of the year to appreciate. It did appreciate around 50% though so at least that is fair as well. It’s always easy to look back and say I could of should of. Things like what happened today just make me scratch my head and wonder with this particular stock. If that news did not move this stock what in the world is going to? Maybe it is a delayed reaction and Tomorrow it will jump up 10 or more cents.
Albert maybe you better Sprint over to the store and buy an I phone from Apple.
What ever that means Henrietta…but I don’t need an Apple I phone. I need this stock to Appreciate as it should as we all do that have invested our hard earned money in. I know you do actually feel the same. I know it will eventually happen as a company like this should ( which is why I have stuck with this stock ) but yesterdays trading baffled everyone especially Spencer which he wrote about. Thanks for your comment.
My gut is we won;t see 3.00 till after the first of the year, and there’s some kind of Fiscal Cliff solution. Sorry to say the share buyback is baked into the current price, and i’d say we’re gonna stay in the same general area, with a little consoladation. I really think that’s why a dividend was issued as well. I was surprised by how the stock did’nt take off, then I thought about it; and came to my conclusion listed above. I sold about a month ago, and i’m on the side. I will be getting back in for the dividend, then holding long, per usual. My plan is to watch for a suitable bottom, slide in and sit there. There is value still for SIRI, and by this time next year I do like the analysts projection of a 3.65 price. We will get to 3.00 and more, but there will have to be patience. It’s not happening any time soon
Thanks for that Larry…a bit dis appointing to say the least but it’s either stick it out with this one or search out a better one. It’s kinda hard to find another company with any better financial model where the stock price is not already to the moon. I’m gonna see what happens 2013 myself. By the way I have read several reports calling this stock at 4.50 to 5.00 end of next year. I hope they are correct.
Hi Albert, I have seen such notes as well. Believe me, i’d love that, and you never know it could happen. Really what it boils down to this stock and company have burned a lot of hands over the years, and with everything that’s fantastic about it, it seems many on the Street is still bitter and don’t want to see it become a major player that they will have to deal with daily.
I’m happy with the 3.65 for this time next year. Anything more will be fantastic and not a surprise to me. I’m just one to be conservative, with a outlook of the same, but aware of all angles, negative and positive
