$4.00 Price Target On SiriusXM!
While I have not yet seen the report, Bank of America Analyst Jessica Reif Cohen has upped the ante on SiriusXM by moving her price target from $3.75 to $4.00. This is a number that the satellite radio provider has not seen in years, and the web is buzzing a bit with visions of share buy-backs, expansion and satellite radio equipped cars rolling off of dealer lots!
SiriusXM is announcing Q3 earnings in a few weeks, so it will be interesting to see if the company issues 2013 guidance that meets the expectations of analyst models. My current target of $3.25 now seems ultra conservative, though I am waiting for the new guidance to be issued prior to making any adjustments. There are a lot of dynamics at play and a lot of assumptions that go with these price targets. Share buybacks are one of the huge assumptions at this point, and while everyone agrees that they will happen, there is an open question as to at what price they will happen, and how substantial they will be.
One thing is certain, the long term prospects of SiriusXM are very bullish right now, and Liberty Media is simply awaiting FCC approval to gain control. Long term investors can sit back and enjoy the ride while more active traders can play the pops and dips. The SiriusXM story…The one that many long term holders envisioned 5 years ago…is finally taking shape!
I believe, just the same as 5yrs ago, siri is here to stay and will continue to grow, whether thru satellite, ip,or apps…
I hv been a long term investor since Dec 2004..I bougth all the way up to $9 and then bought all the way down to .10. I bought a whole bunch in Feb 2009. i hv been thru a lot of patience with this stock-Japan earthquakes, 2008 bank loans freezing up, 1.5 yr FCC merger approval, 2009 recession, GM/Chrysler BK, lawsuits, Liberty media control..I hv had enough of this. I am planning on holding until summer of nxt yr. Hopefully there are no worldwide disasters happening and I hope we dont get ripped off by Liberty media.I will be glad to see $4…Long SIRI
Hopefully there are no worldwide disasters happening regardless of Sirius stock price, Fuzzy 🙂
If liberty media believes in the potential of Sirius xm radio so should you, the fact that they took the first chance they got to own Siri with no hesitation is a very strong bullish sign for me!
I was reading on yahoo, that alot of people who were short on siri, have left the stock this past week, which will only be good for holding up share price…
Johnr, hoping you are correct
“I was reading on yahoo, that alot of people who were short on siri, have left the stock this past week, which will only be good for holding up share price…”
I am trying to understand this comment. If they were short and left the stock, do you mean they bought to cover their short position? That is how interpret it. If so, their buying helped support the stock and they are finished doing so. How is this good for holding up the stock going forward? Hoping their is an explanation supporting your theory.
Thank Almighty God at least one person in this world sees the value of Siri stock price.
So how long is this piece going to stay up and nothing new written.. why would i pay for premium svc??
There have been nine new premium articles posted since this last non premium post was written. Only our members can see them.

A new article up.
So this is essentially a paysite only now…with commercials/adds to get users to premium… nice job.
The site is not a pay site only.
In the 17 days of October there have been 59 pieces written.
32 of them have been premium
27 of them have been regular pieces
I am sorry that that does not meet your expectations.
He is following the footsteps of Branden Matthews even though he said he would never take that route.
Tom…
I take exception to that comment.
1. I have in the past had a subscriber newsletter prior to anything anyone else did. What I have done now is make that web based and more robust.
2. I have said that this site will not go to an all subscription model and it hasn’t.

While you may not appreciate the premium service, there are many that do. While you may not appreciate the effort and work on the free content, there are many that do.
